  • Is Target Powered By Amazon.com?

I think so. I did not know that. I always thought Target.com was powered by Target. I guess they’re not just using Amazon.com software and tools to power the website, but probably selling similar items that are also found on Amazon.com. Not sure.

Check the bottom rightside of Target.com and you’ll see this

    “© 2008 Target.com. All rights reserved.
The Bullseye Design and Bullseye Dog are trademarks of Target Brands, Inc.
    Powered by Amazon.com”

You can see in the picture below that you’re able to sign into Target.com by using your Target.com account or your Amazon.com account.

    From Target’s Help section

    “Privacy and My Account

We have teamed up with Amazon.com to provide you with all you expect from Target, coupled with the technical innovation and convenience you’ve enjoyed from Amazon.com. Selections from Target.com and Amazon.com are available on Target.com, which is powered by Amazon.com.

As part of this exciting combination,Target.com and Amazon.com provide guests with the convenience of using account information from one store to shop at the other.

    Creating a Target.com Account

When you create an account at Target.com, Amazon.com will store and use your Target.com account information on behalf of Target.com, including any address information created in previous visits to Target.com. At the time you create your Target.com account you can choose to use your Target.com account credentials (e-mail and password) and address book on Amazon.com. This information will be subject to Amazon.com’s Privacy Notice unless you choose not to take advantage of this option.

    Using Your Existing Amazon.com Account

If you’re already an Amazon.com guest, we give you the option of using your existing Amazon.com address book, credit cards and sign-in information on Target.com to avoid having to enter the information again. When you do this, Amazon.com will provide Target.com with your Amazon.com account information, which will be subject to Target.com’s Privacy Statement. “

    Interesting to know.

  • Advice To NBC

I know the olympics are over, but please let me watch olympic videos on any website of my choice. I visited various video websites (YouTube, MetaCafe, etc.) and all of the olympic videos were taken down. This is no way to operate or conduct business in this internet age. I’m pretty sure the executives at NBC understand this and should be able to give websites like YouTube permission to show olympic videos.

I don’t want to be forced to visit nbc dot com to see Michael Phelps or Usain Bolt.

    Have A Wonderful Day!

    Michael Phelps

    Usain Bolt
