Zappos & The Asics Gel-140 TR

I ordered again from Zappos.com and just like last time my order was at my door step the next day (actually, I ordered on Sunday and my order arrived Tuesday morning. Can’t complain). Anyway, I ordered what are probably the best sneakers to workout in at the Gym. The Asics Gel-140 TR are one of the best sneakers I ever worked out in. If you’re lifting weights, doing aerobics, running on the treadmill and more, these sneakers can handle all those activities very well. The patented Asics gel cushioning system and Duo Max support system helps decrease any type of shock from heavy impact and provides excellent support for your heel to your toes.

I gave these sneakers a good three day workout from lifting weights to running on the treadmill and they performed well. My knees don’t hurt, my feet are well supported, my feet are comfortable, good cushioning, etc. I felt really good doing my workouts.

However, I have one complaint that I think I solved. My ankle bone on the right foot kept on hitting the side of the sneaker, which is very annoying. The side of the sneaker would continuously rub on my ankle anytime I would walk or run. Very annoying. How I think I solved the problem is by putting two balled up plastic bags into the heel area of the right sneaker pushing the sides outward (hope I’m not confusing you). When the next day came to wear these sneakers to the gym, the side of the sneaker did not rub against my ankle. Much better!

Overall, the Asics Gel-140 TR is a good all around sneaker for the gym. Also, Zappos keep up the great work!

  • Dial Soap Is Smaller?

Are there any dial soap users out there? Am I the only one who feels that dial soap recently got a bit smaller while staying at the same price? Maybe I’m crazy, but the recent dial soap I bought from my local drug store feels small, like the company cut off a few inches from the bottom of the soap. If this is somehow true, I would like to know the reasoning behind this.

  • The Apostrophe

Do you use an apostrophe correctly? You know, this little thing –> <– I think I do, but I get confused when it comes to the plural nouns ending in s. According To Purdue University, an apostrophe is used to form possessives of nouns, to show omission of letters and to indicate certain plurals of lowercase letters.

    Examples:

    1. This is Mac’s car

    2. This is Mac’s hat

    When Do I Get Confused:

    1. My friends’ bikes

    2. The homes’ roofs

These plural nouns can cause some confusion when it comes to deciding to add an apostrophe to them

  • Why I Like Zappos.com

For those that don’t know, Zappos.com is one of the biggest and best online shoe store on the internet.

    Four reasons I like Zappos:

    1. They offer a great selection of stylish shoes for my big feet

    3. Fast delivery. The shoes I ordered from Zappos arrived at my home the next day.

    4. Outstanding return policy. A 365 day return policy. You can’t go wrong with that type of policy.

Oh yeah, the shoes I ordered fit me well and they look good on my big feet.

  • The Battle Of Quotation Marks

What’s the difference between single quotation marks and double quotation marks?

Single quotation marks - You use a single quotation mark within a quotation

Example - “As I was driving I heard someone say ‘nice jeep!’” explained Mac

Double quotation marks - You use double quotation marks for direct quotes, newspaper titles, songs, words that are significant, words that people don’t know about and so much more

Example - “Nanochip Powering The Next Generation Of Computers” is the lastest book from Mac
